How does an emergency medical person access my information?
An emergency medical person uses any Smartphone or iPad to “Tap” your MAAB device.
How do I get my medical information on to the band?
We provide access to our portal where you enter or upload the information you want.
Can this be scanned from a distance?
No, you must be within centimeters to “Tap” and access the information.
What if I need to update any information?
Simply login to & edit the information you need to change or correct at any time.
Can I add images?
Yes, you can upload images. Adding appropriate xrays can be valuable.
Does this require an app?
No app is required or used.
What happens if the chip goes through a CT scanner or x-ray?
All testing indicates there no impact to data stored on an NFC device by either x-ray or CT scan.
How long does the information stay open once the band is tapped?
It is active until viewer goes off the page. We don't want to be in the middle of saving a life and the screen disappears.
Is it secure, considering the risks of data breaches, phone loss, or theft?
Our service doesn't rely on batteries, and we don't store data locally on your device. In the event of theft, we can swiftly disable access to your information, ensuring your data remains secure.
